This hike has been delayed due to poor weather. Its new date is August 7, 2021.
The trail to reach the Darby Canyon crosses the Jedediah Smith Wilderness boundary, a creek and small fields with wild flowers. The view of the Cave from the trail is spectacular and once you have reached the entrance of the Cave you start feeling the cool air that comes from within. But be aware that getting up to the mouth of the Cave is wet and slippery and can be dangerous. This trail is good for children twelve and older if they are used to walking.
